LUXEMBOURG – WHAT IT ISN’T IS BORING !!

Here is a packed 5 Day programme which allows you to discover the land of history, taste and adventure that is Luxembourg. The capital city of this small European country share the same name – LUXEMBOURG. The rivers Alzette and Pétrusse and their deep ravines cross the city. The capital has a fairy-tale quality to its UNESCO-listed historic core, memorably perched along a dramatic cliff top.

Particularly well known are the remains of their medieval fortifications and the old town. The large cave system of the Bock casemates includes a dungeon, a prison and the archaeological crypt, which is considered the birthplace of the city. On the ramparts, the “Chemin de la Corniche” promenade offers spectacular views.

Leaving the capital, you rapidly find yourself surrounded by partially forested hills and a string of beguiling villages that form attractive huddles beneath stunning medieval castles. Afterwards there is all the fun of the fizz in Moselle wine country and some loveable walks to take in the pretty micro-gorges of Mullerthal. All in all, this little country has plenty of surprises.
